These days every application and online platform is adapting to a common feature and that is – “Dark Mode”. Facebook, Instagram, Google Chrome and other Google apps for smartphone is getting Dark Mode. Meanwhile, the most popular chat messenger Whatsapp is ready to soon introduce Dark Mode to their platform. Although, it still hasn’t officially launched.
Android users who have the latest Android Q Beta version installed can use this Dark Mode feature for now and thanks to the famed WhatsApp Tipster WABetaInfo, the first look at the Whatsapp Dark Mode is revealed. It has a pretty cool look but not everyone would like it.
How to enable WhatsApp dark mode on Android
Step 1: Go to Settings then Display then Select theme then Dark
Step 2: Once the dark mode is turned on, go to Settings > About phone
Step 3: Scroll down to ‘Build number’ and tap on it seven times
Step 4: A message will pop-up saying ‘Developers options is turned on’. Tap on ‘Override force-dark’ so that you can apply the dark theme to other apps
Step 5: Dark theme is now enabled but you still need to change the wallpaper on chats to enjoy dark mode to the fullest.
Step 6: So now go to WhatsApp Settings > Wallpaper > None, and you are good to go.
How To Enable WhatsApp Dark Mode on iOS
Step 1: First Go to Settings then General then Accessibility, now tap on Display Accommodations then to Invert Colors and then Smart Invert
Step 2: Dark theme is now enabled across all the apps on your device.
Step 3: The Final Step includes the removal of wallpaper from Whatsapp threads. To do that, go to WhatsApp Settings>Wallpaper>None.
